The AABB Selection of Abstracts Committee invites researchers to submit abstracts for the 2021 AABB Annual Meeting. Abstract categories include various scientific and administrative categories in transfusion medicine and biotherapies. Abstract preparation and submission guidelines are available online. Submissions from both members and nonmembers are welcome. Abstracts are due by April 16.
Those whose abstracts are accepted are required to attend the 2021 Annual Meeting, where they will have the opportunity to present their work to attendees from throughout the world. In addition, accepted abstracts will be published in a special supplement of the September issue of Transfusion.
AABB will present awards of $500 to up to 10 trainees who submit an exceptional abstract and offer an Outstanding Abstract Award for Trainees, based on peer review and determination of abstract quality and scientific merit. Awardees will be selected from the following five categories: undergraduate nursing or medical laboratory science student; specialist in blood banking certificate student; medical or graduate student; medical resident; and fellow or post-doctoral scientist. Additional information is available online.
